Pouring concrete for the pond

This week the crew poured the concrete for the detention pond walls, and today the forms came off!

These forms were erected to the pond’s engineered specifications, encompassing the rebar that went in as a first step. The crew then poured concrete into the forms and allowed it to cure. Today the forms were removed, revealing the finished concrete walls that will enclose the stormwater management facility on three sides.

Meanwhile, for the actual building construction, next steps will include trenching for utilities and roughing in the under-slab plumbing. Concrete footings will be created by a process similar to that of the pond footings, followed by pouring the slab!
