Sitka and Nezuko are sweet sisters who were originally picked up by the county as strays. While at the county shelter, Nezuko would hide in the back of their enclosure, while Sitka would sometimes shyly approach the front of the cage to seek human affection. When no one stepped forward to claim them, the HSCC decided to pull them and bring them to our no-kill facility.

These girls love each other and are never far apart, so they must be adopted together. Nezuko takes on the big sister role, watching over Sitka and making sure she feels safe and secure. Sitka enjoys interacting with other cats, but she always gravitates to her BFF Nezuko. The two of them like to nap together and can often be found spooning, with Nezuko’s leg wrapped around Sitka. Sitka is mainly white with some black, while Nezuko is mainly black with some white, and they both have bobtails!

This duo is inseparable, but they do have distinct personalities. Sitka is petite and loving. She can be timid in new situations, but when she’s comfortable, she morphs into a social butterfly. She’s very talkative and affectionate, and she’ll follow her favorite peeps around like a puppy. She’s a big fan of head butts, with people and other kitties. Her left eye was removed due to irreparable damage, but this doesn’t hinder her or slow her down!

Nezuko is slightly more aloof than her sister but also blossoms when she’s comfortable. She relishes attention from familiar people, and she LOVES lounging in sunny windowsills to watch the birds. She has a single facial expression that never changes no matter what’s happening around her, which can be both hilarious and charming. She’s a big fan of treats, and if you scratch her back just right, she’ll flop over and embrace the bliss!

Sitka and Nezuko would do best in a calm, mellow household. They might do well with older, gentle children, but we don’t know how they would react to a dog.
