My name is Mari, and when I first came to the HSCC, I had six babies in tow! I’m so grateful for the Good Samaritan who found us and got us to safety. My babies are named Whitlock, Glover, Stanley, Etta, Kenna, and Peaches, and they’re available for adoption in pairs.

 

When I was first rescued, it was apparent that I’d been struggling with a rough life. I was very thin and was having trouble feeding my babies. The HSCC got us settled into a new life of warmth, safety, and comfort, and all seven of us are now thriving!

 

Now that my babies have grown and are independent from me, I’ve been enjoying life and allowing my personality to blossom. I’m full of love and charm, and I adore people. I actively seek out human attention and can be quite talkative when I’m feeling chatty! I love stretching out across curvy surfaces, and I spend lots of time basking in sunny windows and watching the birds outside. I’ve also discovered that I have a great passion for food. I love to eat! As a result I’ve gotten a bit “fluffy” (ahem), so I’ll benefit from a scheduled feeding program to reach and maintain my ideal, healthy weight.

 

I coexist well with other cats, but I don’t really form relationships with them. I’m more of an independent spirit! I might also do well with a mellow doggo. I’d make a great companion kitty and am so eager to find my own special person or people.
