My name is Stella, and I’m a sweet Southern belle with beautiful markings. The HSCC pulled me from Cobb County Animal Services (CCAS) because they knew they could help me with my injuries and give me a chance at adoption. CCAS had originally picked me up as a stray, and I had a severe bite wound near the base of my tail that was abscessed. My wound is all healed up now, but I do have some lingering sensitivity there. I’ve also had all my teeth pulled (bonus: I’ll never need expensive dentals!), but that doesn’t slow me down. I love my dry food and prefer it over wet.

I adore humans and am so eager to share my love with them! I get excited when human friends arrive and will run up to them for attention. I’ll roll my head on your feet, give you arm rubs and back rubs, and prance back and forth to lean against a willing leg. I’m not a lap cat, though; I love sitting next to people, and I’m very affectionate, but laps just aren’t my thing. I’m also not a fan of being picked up, which can make me a bit difficult to handle at times. I’ll need an experienced cat person who understands different purrsonalities!

I prefer human company over feline — you could say I’m a loner in the cat world and a lover in the human one. Because other cats (and probably dogs too) make me anxious, I’m best suited to be an only pet in a calm, quiet home. I also prefer a household without children. I overgroom myself when I’m nervous or stressed, which might stem from some prior trauma in my life.

I have so much love to give and just know that my forever home is out there somewhere!
