My name is Blue, and I’m a quirky dude! I have stunning green eyes and some distinctive wave patterns on my coat that set me apart from typical tabbies. I also have an occasional Elvis lip curl that drives the ladies wild (and yes, you may call me The King!). The curl happens because I’ve had most of my teeth extracted due to stomatitis. It doesn’t slow me down though, and it definitely doesn’t interfere with my enjoyment of food.

 

I.LOVE.FOOD. When I first came to the HSCC, my original name was Mr. Chonkers (guess why…). Upon intake, I was swiftly introduced to scheduled mealtimes and portion control, and now I’m lean and svelte. I am extremely enthusiastic about mealtime and like to celebrate by jumping, dancing, and “singing.” And since the mealtimes are scheduled, I know if they’re late! My timekeeping skills are legendary and I WILL complain about tardiness!

 

I genuinely love making connections with humans, and I have a treasured social circle of favored peeps. If you make the cut to join my circle, I’ll welcome you to the fold by gently rubbing my face (and scent) on any parts of you that I can reach. I especially favor shoes and feet! I’m not really a lap cat, but if you’re super special to me, I might curl up with you for a bit. When I want attention, I make it known by sharing my distinctive “greowl” — you’ll know it when you hear it! And I’m not above following people around to see what’s up. I’m a bit of a super sleuth, checking behind things, under things, over things, and all around. I’m always on the go and in the know!
