Adopted: Polly

After a long stint at the HSCC, Polly has finally gone home — with her favorite HSCC staff member!

A longtime resident of our no-kill shelter, Polly has suffered a host of medical issues. Ranging from two torn ACLs (CCLs in the dog world) to a tendon contracture to a severe infection, Polly has endured a lot, but she’s stayed sweet and loving through all of it.

On top of her medical problems, Polly’s breed has made her difficult to place. Pitbulls and pit mixes are often misunderstood to have aggression issues that could be addressed as with any other breed, with training and responsible pet ownership. So many just need a chance!

During her time with us, Polly formed a particularly deep bond with one staff member, and no one was surprised when they decided to make it official. This sweet girl is now thriving in her forever home and living her best life. Happy tails, Polly!
