We couldn’t be more thrilled about what’s happening inside our new shelter building right now. Local artist Erica Nicole Ramsey-Bowen is donating her talents to create beautiful murals on our lobby walls!
Erica’s work is absolutely stunning — in a muted and whimsical style reminiscent of watercolor, she is bringing the outside in. Using imagery of trees inspired by some of our own campus specimens, she’s creating an “enchanted forest” that’s full of frolicking cats, dogs, and local woodland creatures! By incorporating the building’s plentiful glass windows and doors into her designs, the cats who will be residing behind that glass will become living elements of the artwork. She’ll also be creating a very special segment dedicated to some furry friends who touched our hearts before crossing the Rainbow Bridge.
We are so grateful to Erica for sharing her incredible talents and creativity with us. And our thanks to her sponsor, Elley, which enabled her to donate these spectacular murals by providing the materials and supplies.
