My name is Holly, and I am a darling tuxedo girl! Before I arrived at the HSCC, I was at Cobb County Animal Services, where I came in with another female cat. We both had litters of kittens, and we each took care of the other’s babies. All of us were adopted except me. Surely it’s my turn now!

Black and primarily black cats (and dogs) often fall victim to “black cat/dog syndrome” — it can take longer for us to be adopted from shelters, for no rational reason. People who overlook animals like me just don’t know what they’re missing! I’m gentle and sweet, and I love to play. Cat tunnels are my favorite thing, as you can see in one of my photos. I’m curious and inquisitive, but I’m also smart and clever. I don’t just jump into things willy-nilly; rather, I like to strategically assess the situation and skirt the perimeter, always alert, and then BAM, playtime!

I truly enjoy human companionship, and I lap up affection and attention. I’m a beautiful girl, and my vivid green eyes always seem to be expressing some degree of wonder. I get along well with other cats, but I prefer to gradually become acquainted first. I should also do well with children and/or a calm dog.

If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please make a reservation to come meet me at the Java Cats Café Meowietta cat lounge! I have been spayed and microchipped and am up to date on all my vaccinations.
