My name is Georgie, and I’m a petite Southern girl! Not much is known about my history, except that I suffered through some hard times. When the HSCC pulled me from Cobb County Animal Services, I had a URI, conjunctivitis, skin issues, flea allergies, bald patches all over my body, AND a missing ear! Despite all that, it took just one friendly look from a person to start me chirping and rolling around. I’m definitely a lover!

It’s likely that I was born without my left ear and am deaf on that side. It compromises my balance a little bit, so I’m more comfortable on ground level and don’t seek out elevated spaces.

I’m extremely affectionate with people, but I’m not a lap cat — yet. The nice people at the HSCC think that with time and a quiet environment, I could very well transform into a lap snuggler. I’m good with other mellow felines, but I can become overwhelmed around cats who are demanding or highly extroverted.

I’d do best in a home that’s quiet and relaxed. A high-energy environment (rowdy kids, exuberant dog) wouldn’t be a good fit for me, but I’d welcome a family with gentle and calm children/cats/dogs. I’ll require regular veterinary wellness exams (as all pets do!) and routine ear cleanings to prevent ear infections in my open left ear.

If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please call 770-428-LOST (5678) to set up an appointment to come meet me! I have been spayed and microchipped and am up to date on all my vaccinations.
