My name is Bonita, and I’ve definitely grown into my name, which means “beautiful.” But when the HSCC first pulled me from the county shelter, I was in much rougher shape. I was fragile, and even though I was emaciated and weighed a mere 4 pounds, I didn’t want to eat. As you can see in my intake photo, my nose was raw and I had bald patches all over my body. I was also suffering from an upper respiratory infection.
As soon as I arrived at the HSCC’s no-kill shelter, they sprang into action to get me the care I needed. My URI was treated, I was nourished on a critical nutrition diet, and I was showered with love and attention. As you can see in my “after” photos, I flourished and blossomed into a happy, healthy kitty! You’d barely know I was the same cat, looking at the before and after photos — I’m a Cinderella story come to life!
I’m obviously gorgeous, with golden, almond-shaped eyes and a “fluffy” (ahem) physique, and I also have the personality to match. I’m a gentle girl with an affectionate nature, and I happily bask in human attention. I’m initially shy with new people and new situations, but once I reach my comfort level, my sweet demeanor shines through. I seek a loving and tranquil environment — I’d do well in an attentive but calm household, possibly with another mellow cat or dog, and/or gentle children.
If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please call 770-428-LOST (5678) to set up an appointment to come meet me! I have been spayed and microchipped and am up to date on all my vaccinations.
