The love these two share for one another is truly something to behold. Lipton, just shy of 13 years old, and Poppy, who’s 6 years old, both came to us as kittens. When they crossed paths in one of the free-roam cat rooms at our no-kill shelter, the two bonded and quickly became inseparable! Never far from each other, Lipton and Poppy shared everything from head butts to naptime snuggles.
The exposure they received after transitioning to the Java Cats Café Meowietta cat lounge opened the door to their eventual furever home. Their new family has adopted from us before, in 2020 when they welcomed Graham into their home. Lipton and Poppy caught their attention back then and stayed on their minds, but with two kitties already in the home they couldn’t add more animals to the apartment. But then they bought a house, and after settling in they reached out to see if this dynamic duo was still available for adoption. The rest is history!
For every shelter animal, the right home is out there somewhere. It can sometimes take months, or even years, to find it, but the payoff is priceless when the wait finally ends! Staff and volunteers at the HSCC and Java Cats have been rooting for Lipton and Poppy for a long time, and all of us are thrilled to pieces that they’ve finally found their furever home. Happy tails to these beloved kitties and their new family!
