When Miss Priss first came to the HSCC, she was wary and confused; she was a new mom whose litter had already arrived at the HSCC, but it was a couple of weeks before Miss Priss herself could be humanely trapped and brought in. Staff and volunteers dedicated time and TLC to socializing her, and before long, she had blossomed into a loving, playful kitty. One by one her babies found their forever homes, but for whatever reason, Miss Priss kept being overlooked.
Meanwhile, Miss Priss’ new mom was dealing with an adjustment of her own. In 2008, she had adopted Mavis, aka Mandy, from the HSCC. Mandy enjoyed a long, happy life, and after she passed away, her mom sorely missed having feline companionship. She returned to the HSCC to meet some new kitties, and on that visit, she met Miss Priss. Afterward, she couldn’t stop thinking about this sweet girl; she knew that Miss Priss was the perfect cat for her.
We’re thrilled that these two found each other, and that Miss Priss finally has a happy and loving forever home. Happy tails!
