Adopted: Thumbelina

Thumbelina’s new parents had been planning to adopt for a while, and they knew the time was right when they ventured into the Java Cats Café Meowietta cat lounge and encountered this quirky girl. Thumbelina charmed them by immediately jumping onto her dad’s shoulder and giving him a kiss!

Thumbelina has struggled with anxiety in the past, and her new parents are aware and dedicated to giving her as much space and time as she needs to get comfy in her new home. They’ve already outfitted the house with plenty of cat-centric items to keep her occupied and content.

Thumbelina made it very clear on adoption day how happy she was to be going home with her new family — when she saw her carrier from across the room, she went straight to it, snuggled into the plush bed inside, and started to purr.

Since Thumbelina has the longest teeth her dad has ever seen on a cat, her new name will be Marceline, a reference to a vampire queen on one of her parents’ favorite shows.
