After our campus improvements are complete, the existing house on the Waterman lot will serve as our new reception hub and community outreach center. The renovation work that will make the structure suitable for our purposes has now kicked into gear!
We’ll be installing some new flooring, creating an open reception area, hanging new doors, and bringing the public-use bathroom into ADA compliance, among other interior projects. The house has good bones, and we’re excited to transform it into a welcoming space that will serve as our initial point of contact with the public.
Once complete, this 1960s-era building will not only serve as our reception hub, but it will also include space for youth educational activities, volunteer orientations, adoption counseling, and more. We desperately need the extra space and are now one step closer to making it happen!
