Adopted: Calamity and Oakley

Calamity and Oakley, fondly known as “the Cowgirls,” first came to the HSCC’s no-kill shelter in rough shape. Oakley had a severe case of conjunctivitis, and Calamity’s body was rejecting her spay surgery sutures. We nursed them back to good health, but just as important, these two girls nurtured each other. They are tightly bonded siblings, and while their personalities are quite different, they are always watching over each other and comforting one another.

Once they were at full health, we transitioned them to Java Cats Café Meowietta. They are still kittens, not even a year old, and so they brought much “kitten joy” to the cat lounge, delighting visitors with their energy and antics. Their new parents first saw the Cowgirls here on the HSCC website and were smitten. They decided to visit Java Cats to see if the kitties might be a good fit for their home and their current furry crew. Happily, it was a match!

We are thrilled for the Cowgirls and their new family! They overcame a rough start and now have their whole lives ahead of them. Happy tails!
